Florian Schneider

Florian Schneider is a prominent academic specializing in Modern China, currently serving as Chair Professor at Leiden University since September 2008. Schneider's research engages with political communication, governance, and digital technologies in the PRC, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, alongside supervision of PhD students and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, Schneider acts as Director of the LeidenAsiaCentre and manages the peer-reviewed journal Asiascape: Digital Asia, which investigates the influence of digital media in Asia.
