Francesca Lucas

Francesca Lucas is a skilled software engineer and IT consultant currently employed at Brill since May 2020, where Francesca focuses on developing a new platform for bibliographies and works on data conversion, back-end development, database setup, and data exploration. Previous experience includes software development at Qdentity, where an API for theatre ticketing systems was created, and at Excelnerd, where natural language processing was utilized for analyzing police case descriptions. Francesca has also contributed as a research assistant at TU Delft, analyzing course data to assist students, and co-founded CloudCuddle, a company that designs inflatable bedtents for children with disabilities. Additional roles include teaching assistant at TU Delft and faculty manager and tutor at AthenaStudies. Francesca holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology, specializing in Data Science and Technology with a focus on Bioinformatics, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design.
