Iwan Groothuis

Iwan Groothuis has extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism sector, currently serving as a member of the supervisory board at VVV Texel since February 2019 and as a board member for Stichting Vrienden Luchtvaartterrein Texel since 2008. Iwan has held the position of Managing Director at De Krim Texel since April 2003, overseeing various properties including holiday parks, campsites, a golf course, and a hotel. Additional roles include serving on the youth committee at Golfclub de Texelse and as chair of RECRON Texel, among others. Previously, Iwan managed operations at Van der Valk Hotels and served as Managing Director for Van der Valk Deutschland. Iwan holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has recently attended a Board Company program in 2024.
