Mike Prachar

Mike Prachar is a senior scientist at De La Rue since May 2012, leading technical projects for passport development and anti-counterfeit brand protection products. Previously, Mike served as Technology Planning Manager at Nokia from February 1999 to March 2012, overseeing visual mechanics development and interfacing with various departments to create technology roadmaps. Earlier roles included Project/Team Manager and Materials Development Specialist at Nokia, as well as Development Engineer at Rexam - Webster Packaging, focusing on cosmetic packaging materials. Mike began their career as a Higher Scientific Officer at DERA, participating in a collaborative project on composite aircraft structures. Mike holds a PhD and BEng in Materials Science & Technology from the University of Birmingham.
