Andrew Sanders

Andrew Sanders is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at De Montfort University since August 2023, previously serving as a Senior Lecturer in International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Derby from July 2022 to August 2023. Andrew has significant experience in higher education, including roles as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and a Lecturer in Government at Houston Community College. Andrew's academic background includes a John Moore Newman Research Fellowship at University College Dublin, focusing on Irish-America and peacebuilding in Ireland. Andrew holds a PhD in Irish Political History, an MA in Irish Politics, and a BSc in Social and Management Sciences, all obtained from respected institutions. Additionally, Andrew has a background in athletics, having played basketball for the Scottish Rocks while also engaging in social development initiatives.
