Gary James

Gary James is an accomplished writer, researcher, and project manager with extensive experience in historical and factual publications, particularly in football history. Currently serving as an Honorary Research Fellow at De Montfort University and an Associate Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, Gary has also been a Visiting Research Professor at New York University. An extensive body of work includes titles such as "Manchester City The Complete Record" and "Football With A Smile: The Authorised Biography of Joe Mercer, OBE." Previously, Gary held a key role as Heritage Project Manager at Manchester City Football Club, overseeing the development of the club's museum and stadium tour. Prior to his current academic positions, Gary accumulated experience as a project manager and business/systems analyst, contributing to various projects from 1988 to 2009.
