Jaime Marie Davis is an accomplished artistic director and curator with extensive experience in cultural programming and visual journalism. Currently serving as the Artistic Director at Against the Grain since January 2017, Jaime specializes in skateboarding photography's histories and archives. Simultaneously, Jaime is a doctoral researcher at De Montfort University, focusing on co-citizenship in curatorial practices. Previous roles include project management at AMCK Management, where collaboration with high-profile artists occurred, and exhibitions management at GALERIE8 and waterside contemporary. Jaime co-founded the Adapta Project to engage in cross-border dialogues on regional politics and has also worked in various capacities at prominent institutions like the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and University of California San Diego. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Art, Design, and Media Discourse from De Montfort University, an MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby's Institute, and a BA in Journalism from the University of California, San Diego.
