Stephen Mason

Stephen Mason currently serves as the Head of the Department of Performing Arts at Kingston University, a role held since September 2016, where responsibilities include oversight of teaching and learning, quality assurance, and strategic curriculum development. Mason has previously filled various positions, including Senior Lecturer in Dance, Course Leader for the BA(Hons) Dance, and Co-chair of the Staff LGBTQ+ Network. Additionally, Mason is involved in multiple external roles such as External Examiner for BA(Hons) Dance programs at several institutions and serves as a Teacher Training Mentor. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Dance Studies from Trinity Laban and a PGCE from IOE - UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society.
