Gita Salden

Gita Salden is an accomplished banking and finance professional currently serving as a Directeur and member of the Executive Board at De Nederlandsche Bank since June 2024. Prior to this role, Gita held significant positions including Member of the Administrative Board at the European Association of Public Banks from November 2020 to May 2024 and Chairman of the Executive Board at BNG Bank from January 2018 to May 2024. Gita took a sabbatical in late 2017 to explore new job opportunities after serving as Deputy Treasurer General and Director of Financial Markets at the Ministerie van Financiën from July 2011 to October 2017. Earlier career experience includes roles as Financial Counselor at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the EU and various leadership positions within the Ministerie van Financiën, along with research work at the Centre for Development Studies. Gita holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, earned between 1986 and 1992.
