Marijke Hoogendoorn

Marijke Hoogendoorn has extensive experience in the fields of journalism, editing, and IT support, with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as an editor at De Nederlandsche Bank since 2001, Marijke focuses on content for the central bank's website, intranet, and various publications. Prior to this role, Marijke worked at Amnesty International as a help desk technician, providing IT support from 1994 to 1996. Earlier professional experience includes serving as a project manager for the Women's Health Centre Ixchen in Managua, Nicaragua, where development and implementation of IT systems took place between 1989 and 1991. Marijke holds a Drs. degree in Geography from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, obtained between 1976 and 1984, and completed secondary education with an Atheneum B diploma from Casimir Lyceum Amstelveen from 1970 to 1976.
