Gavin O'Connell Mbe

Gavin O'Connell MBE currently serves as Chief Growth Officer at DEA Specialised Airborne Operations since January 2023. Previously, O'Connell held the position of ISR Business Development & Sales Director at Thales from October 2019 to January 2023 and served as Global Sensors Business Development Director at Chemring Group PLC from November 2018 to October 2019, where responsibilities included implementing business development activities aligned with global strategies. Prior experience at Roke from December 2009 to November 2018 encompassed several roles with increasing responsibility, including Director of Business Development & Sales and Head of EW/CIS, focusing on business performance, strategy, and sales. O'Connell also had a notable military career in the Royal Marines, serving in various leadership roles from April 1988 to April 2010. Educational qualifications include a Graduate of the City & Guilds of London Institute in Intelligence Management.
