Hernan Trevino

Hernan Trevino is currently serving as the Energy Markets Deputy Director at Grupo DEACERO, a role undertaken since October 2017, where responsibilities include the evaluation and negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and the development of operational systems for the Wholesale Energy Market in Mexico. Prior to this, Hernan worked at After Hours Capital as a Financial Quantitative Analyst focusing on the energy sector, where the development of advanced trading techniques and management of quantitative algorithms were key responsibilities. Hernan's earlier experience at Hunt Mexico encompassed roles in business development within the Exploration & Production and electricity sectors, including contract negotiation and financial modeling for energy infrastructure projects, along with tasks related to cross-border electrical infrastructure and wholesale power marketing transactions between Mexico and Texas. Hernan holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, with professional development continuing at IPADE Business School.
