Catherine Dunn

Senior Advisor - Policy & Government Relations at Deaf Connect

Catherine Dunn is an experienced professional with a strong background in community advocacy and engagement, particularly within the Deaf community. Currently serving as a member of the Implementation Advisory Group at the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts since September 2025, and as Project Lead for International Engagement at Flow Festival Australia since January 2025, Catherine has held multiple roles that emphasize policy and government relations, such as Senior Advisor at Deaf Connect since October 2022 and Policy and Research Officer at Youth Disability Advocacy Service until October 2022. Additionally, Catherine co-founded the Deaf Arts Residency Exhibition in July 2022 and has a history of contributing to various organizations, including Deaf Victoria Inc. and the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic). An Auslan Presenter for Auslan Consultancy for a brief period in February 2021, Catherine also has experience as an Auslan Access Consultant with the Parliament of Victoria. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Swinburne University of Technology, earned between 2019 and 2023.
