Ashley Bowen

Ashley Bowen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research partnerships, investment attraction, and commercialization in the biotechnology and life sciences sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Research Partnerships Manager at Deakin University since October 2014, Bowen has a diverse background that includes managerial roles at Invest Queensland, IMBcom, Diversa Corp, Celgene, and Monash University. Bowen’s accomplishments include securing strategic investments, leading multidisciplinary teams in product development, raising funds for start-up ventures, and achieving significant advancements in biocatalyst engineering. Holding a PhD and a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The University of Queensland, Bowen combines deep scientific knowledge with a strong track record in industry collaboration and commercialization.
