Bernard Rolfe

Bernard Rolfe is an accomplished academic and researcher affiliated with Deakin University since January 2002, currently serving as the Associate Dean Research for the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Built Environment (SEBE). With extensive experience in mechanical engineering and research leadership, Bernard has overseen various research initiatives focused on lightweight design and advanced manufacturing processes. Roles have included Professor, Associate Head of School (Research), and Senior Lecturer, alongside project leadership for significant collaborations and competitions in the automotive sector. Bernard's previous positions include Interim CEO of the Regional Advanced Manufacturing CRC, Lightweighting Theme Leader at AutoCRC, and Senior Analyst at Andersen Consulting. An alumnus of The Australian National University, Bernard holds a PhD in Intelligent Metal Forming, complemented by degrees in Engineering and Economics.
