Sarah McGann is the Head of the School of Architecture and Built Environment at Deakin University, a position held since 2021, where leadership includes overseeing research and curricula across Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral levels in Built Environment and Architecture. Sarah is a Chief Investigator for various significant studies, including projects examining the design and lived experiences of residential aged care and the impact of built environments on health. In addition, Sarah has contributed to the launch of an MSc in Design for Circular Cities and actively participates in gender equity initiatives through several prestigious organizations. Previous roles include Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Notre Dame Australia and Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Australia.
