Gonzalo Míguez

Gonzalo Míguez is a Developer at DealDash. Gonzalo previously worked as a Tech Lead at Billy Mobile from June 2014 to October 2016. At Billy, they connected mobile traffic with the best ads, helping both publishers and advertisers maximize their profit. The backend was built on Java, Storm, Spark, Hive, HBase, MariaDB, Kafka and Redis, with some PHP and Node.js.

Before working at Billy Mobile, Míguez was the CTO of ChicPlace from October 2012 to May 2014. At ChicPlace, they created an e-commerce site that was multishop and multilanguage. The first prototype was a heavily modified Prestashop. The final app used Symfony2, ElasticSearch, Composer, Twig, SASS (Compass), jQuery, Backbone.js, Redis, nginx, Doctrine2.

Prior to working at ChicPlace, Míguez worked as a PHP Programmer at budgetplaces.com from August 2011 to April 2012. Their main job was to master the current code base and start the complete refactoring of it. Gonzalo also had some management duties such as candidate interviewing.

Gonzalo Míguez studied computer science at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they earned their B.Sc.
