Justin Mills

Justin Mills has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Justin is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Dealerware, starting in November 2020. Prior to this, Justin held the position of Principal Engineer at PeopleAdmin from June 2018 to November 2020, where they primarily worked on a Ruby on Rails product as a full-stack developer. Justin also integrated the product with 3rd party vendors and resolved performance issues in the ETL analytics solution.

Before joining PeopleAdmin, Justin worked at Accruent as a Project Manager and Engineering Manager. As a Project Manager, from October 2013 to March 2015, they managed the adoption and integration of Agile methodologies, converted maintenance teams to Kanban, and conducted product training on Lean methodologies. As an Engineering Manager, from July 2012 to October 2013, Justin fostered international technical teams, focused on continuous improvement and Agile methodologies, and introduced story points to help craft reliable project timelines.

Prior to Accruent, Justin worked at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, where they held various roles including Application Development Manager, Technical Lead, and Programmer. As the Application Development Manager, from 2010 to July 2012, they coordinated Java/Oracle product teams, implemented Scrum methodology, and built technical support libraries. As a Technical Lead, from 2008 to 2010, Justin provided technical leadership, successfully deploying a long-term waterfall project and delivering ad hoc projects. As a Programmer, from 2007 to 2008, they functioned as a full-stack developer on a Java web application, reducing js files by 70% through the introduction of jQuery.

Justin's career began at Publix, where they worked as a Bagger/Cashier from 2002 to 2007.

Justin Mills earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida State University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007.
