Summer Shelton

Summer Shelton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Summer currently holds the role of Head Of Engineering and Senior Product Owner at DealMachine for Real Estate since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Product Owner at the same company from July 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining DealMachine for Real Estate, Summer served as a Product Owner at TRIMEDX from April 2020 to July 2021. Summer was responsible for managing product development and implementation.

From November 2018 to April 2020, Summer worked at Wyndham Destinations as a Scrum Master and Senior Project Manager.

Summer Shelton had a significant tenure at RCI | Vacation Exchange, starting as a Business Analyst in May 2006 and later becoming the Manager of Customer Experience Optimization from August 2015 to November 2018. In this role, they managed cross-functional teams, increased transparency of customer experiences, and negotiated contracts with vendors.

Additionally, Summer has worked as a National Resource Manager and Operations Manager at Interim CCS/Spherion from March 1998 to July 2000, and as a Call Center Supervisor at BMG Music from August 1992 to April 1997.

Summer has also been invited to speak at industry events, including IBM Amplify 2016 and Forrester CXNYC in 2015.

Summer Shelton attended Butler University from 1987 to 1989, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Summer then went on to Indiana University Bloomington, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from 1989 to 1991. Summer Shelton also obtained additional certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in March 2019, as well as Certified SAFe 5 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2021.
