Lawrence Kwok, CPA

Lawrence Kwok, CPA has over twenty years of experience in accounting and finance. Lawrence began their career in 2000 as an Assurance Associate at KPMG. In 2002, they joined Preferred Employers Insurance Company as AVP/Controller, where they were responsible for preparing white papers for management and outside auditors documenting company's conclusions. In 2014, they became Controller at BrightScope, where they enhanced monthly close processes and oversaw monthly SaaS revenue recognition. In 2016, they joined Uber as Accounting, Global Insurance, where they oversaw the insurance accounting process and worked with AP/Buyers' Ops to refine the account coding for insurance related invoices. In 2017, they became Head Of Accounting at Phantom Cyber, where they led process improvement and provided technical accounting support. In 2019, they joined Hustle as Corporate Controller, where they conducted comprehensive analysis on ASC-606 and oversaw the restatement of 2018 financial statements. Lawrence is currently Controller at Dealpath, a position they have held since 2022.

Lawrence Kwok obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from San Diego State University between 1995 and 2000. Lawrence then returned to San Diego State University to pursue a MSBA in Finance, which they completed in 2007. In 2013, they obtained a Certificate in International Financial Reporting (IFRS) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Finally, in 2018, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant certification from the California Board of Accountancy.
