David Rice

David has more than 20 years of experience in information technology. He founded a technology consulting business in 2003, which was acquired by Dean Dorton in 2015.

David specializes in Dean Dorton’s technology infrastructure services. He is responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex infrastructure technology, such as network and network security (local and wide area), wireless network design for specialized environments, server infrastructure (physical, virtual, and cloud-deployed models), advanced collaboration solutions, and customized disaster recovery models.

David holds special certifications from Cisco, such as the CCNP Route/Switch and CCNP Voice/Collaboration. He also holds the Cisco CCNA Wireless certification and the vendor neutral wireless certifications, CWNA and CWAP. He has spoken on various other technology topics in the Commonwealth, such as virtualization and cybersecurity.

David is a member of the firm’s manufacturing industry team, bringing 15 years of experience in implementing various solutions across a broad set of manufacturing clients in the areas of security, wired and wireless networking, Internet of Things (IoT), and data center.
