David Richard

David has 30 years of experience, providing audit and consulting services to clients throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana. He began his career in the Lexington offices of large, international firms until 1999 when he came to Dean Dorton.

David serves the firm as a member of the assurance service group’s technical team and actively serves clients in the higher education, equine, healthcare, insurance, and nonprofit industries. David’s clients have ranged in size and complexity from small nonprofit organizations to large, publicly-traded companies.

Over the years, David has been a frequent speaker on topics including auditing and accounting updates and industry issues such as cost accounting for colleges and universities or reimbursement for hospitals.
