Deana Smith

Deana Smith has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in social services and patient care. Currently serving as a Patient Service Representative at Dean McGee Eye Institute since March 2023, Deana previously held multiple roles at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services from January 2014 to October 2022, including Family Centered Services CWS II, Permanency Child Welfare Specialist II, and Resource Specialist II. In these positions, responsibilities included case management, service coordination, and facilitating family reunifications. Deana also contributed as a Human Resource Management Division Specialist and a Human Resources Specialist II & III at OKDHS/HRMD/ESU. Earlier career experience includes an internship as a Victims Court Advocate at YWCA. Deana's educational background includes two Master's degrees in Child and Family Studies-Family Life Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, an Associate's degree in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling from OSU OKC, and bachelor’s degrees in Fashion Merchandising from both the University of North Alabama and David Lipscomb University.
