Michael Thornton

Mick Thornton has extensive experience in the construction industry, primarily focused on business development and strategy. Michael "Mick" started their career in 1996 at Williams Company, where they served as the Director of Business Development and Pre-Construction Services for over 10 years. Michael "Mick" then joined Clancy & Theys Construction Company in 2007 as the Director of Business Development and Pre-construction Services, before moving on to Barton Malow in 2011 as the Director of Business Strategy. Currently, Mick is the Director of Business Development at DeAngelis Diamond.

Michael "Mick" Thornton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Auburn University. Michael "Mick" also obtained a certification in Project Management from University of Florida. In addition, they have received several certifications including being a Member of FHEA District III - Florida Healthcare Engineering Association and AIA Orlando, as well as being a Certified General Contractor by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Michael "Mick" also holds a Certified Cost Engineer certification from AACE International and a LEED AP Building Design & Construction (BD+C) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
