Krishna Skandakumar

Krishna Skandakumar serves as the Chair of US Private Funds Transactions and Partner at Debevoise & Plimpton since October 2025. As a Director on the Board of Directors for Haymakers for Hope since January 2024, Krishna contributes to a cancer-fighting organization that has raised over $25 million since its inception in 2011. Previous experience includes partnership roles at Goodwin and senior counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, with a strong background in investment funds and private funds gained during tenures at Clifford Chance and Hall & Wilcox. Krishna commenced a legal career as a graduate lawyer at Superpartners after completing a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Melbourne and holds dual bachelor degrees in Laws and Actuarial Studies from The Australian National University. Admission to the New York Bar occurred in May 2022.
