Timo Aaltonen is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the Linux ecosystem, currently serving as a Senior Engineer in both the Devel Kernel and OEM Kernel Enablement teams at Canonical since February 2011. Concurrently, Timo has been involved with Ubuntu Linux as an Archive Admin and Core Developer since March 2007 and has contributed to Debian as a Debian Developer since July 2014, co-maintaining X. org packages and maintaining key projects such as 389 Directory Server and FreeIPA. In addition to these roles, Timo has held the position of CEO at ProgWave Oy and previously worked as a Systems Specialist at Aalto University IT, where responsibilities included maintaining Linux workstations and shell servers. Timo holds a Master of Science degree from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, obtained in 2010.
