Bianca Petrignani, Ph.D., currently serves as a Scouting & Partnering Associate and previously held the position of Scientific Fellow at Debiopharm since March 2022, actively engaged in the identification and evaluation of oncology therapeutic assets. Prior to this role, Bianca was a Doctoral Researcher at EPFL from January 2018 to January 2022, focusing on innate immunity and host-pathogen interactions, culminating in a thesis project on phagocytosis mechanisms. Bianca's research experience includes a Master's of Advanced Studies Research Internship at Université de Genève in 2017, where fundamental microbiology of Caulobacter crescentus and Staphylococcus aureus was studied, and a Master Research Internship at EPFL in 2013-2014, investigating autophagy in Drosophila melanogaster. Academic credentials include a PhD in Immunology from EPFL, a Master's of Advanced Studies in Microbiology from the University of Geneva, and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biology and Molecular Biology, respectively, from Università degli Studi di Milano.
