Alvaro Gericke

Alvaro Gericke has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Alvaro worked at Stealth Fintech as a Lead Operations Manager from 2023. Prior to that, they were a Member at Nova Talent starting from 2017. Alvaro also gained experience at Revolut, where they held various positions such as Operating Principal (CEO Office), Senior Operations Manager, Operations Manager, and Junior Operations Manager. During their time at the Illinois Institute of Technology, they worked as a Researcher in Software Engineering and was involved in developing ML models, building a streaming video playback editor, and designing a product landing page. Alvaro also worked as a Researcher in Data Engineering and Blockchain & Investment Crowdfunding at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where they built a client-side solution for tracking financial assets on Ethereum and designed an ETL process for structuring data in a SQL database. Alvaro also has entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded and served as the CEO of Kibiwoo, a renting marketplace for sporting equipment. Additionally, they participated in the YUZZ entrepreneurship program and worked as a Management Consultant intern at S.I.E. Uruguay S.A., where they won a public tender worth over $1 million.

Alvaro Gericke holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2018 to 2019. In addition, they have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, completed from 2017 to 2019. Alvaro also earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Telecommunications Engineering from the same institution during the same period. Prior to these degrees, Alvaro obtained a Grado en Ingeniería (Bachelor's degree) in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which they completed from 2013 to 2017. Alvaro has also acquired various certifications including Data Science with Tableau and Tableau Desktop III: Advanced from Tableau Software, Machine Learning from Stanford University, and Emprendimiento YUZZ from CISE | Centro Internacional Santander Emprendimiento in 2017.
