Ronan Fruit

Ronan Fruit is a data scientist currently employed at DECATHLON FRANCE since March 2022, previously serving as a research scientist and lead data scientist at Vekia from August 2019 to February 2022. Earlier experience includes a research internship at Facebook AI focusing on off-policy policy gradient algorithms for reinforcement learning, and a PhD in machine learning from Inria, where the research centered on statistical analysis of the exploration-exploitation dilemma in reinforcement learning. Ronan started a career as an apprentice software engineer at Airbus Group, working on algorithms to predict air threat behavior, and completed a research internship at Cranfield University that combined Bayesian filtering and inference techniques to improve air threat tracking. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology and a Master's degree in Engineering from CentraleSupélec.
