Rohit Taneja

Rohit Taneja is the founder and CEO of Decentro. Prior to this, they served as the mentor of change at Atal Innovation Mission, director of product engineering at Wibmo, and co-founder and director at Mypoolin.

Taneja’s experience in product engineering and management has been integral to the success of Decentro. Under their leadership, Decentro has become a leading provider of payment gateway services for banks across India and South East Asia.

A serial entrepreneur, Taneja has a proven track record of building successful companies. Mypoolin, which they co-founded and led as director, was acquired by Wibmo in 2018 in a cash and stock deal. Mypoolin was India’s first social payments platform and a payments infrastructure provider.

Taneja is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

Rohit Taneja completed a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Rohit then spent an exchange semester studying Genie Des Informatiques at Ecole des Mines d'Alès. Finally, they completed their 10+2 in Science and Social Sciences from Modern Vidya Niketan School.
