Rachel Hatano is the current Chief of Staff at Deciduous Therapeutics. Prior to this, they worked as an intern at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from June 2017 to August 2017. In their role as Bioassay Development PhD Intern, Rachel was responsible for developing assays to support target validation and lead optimization programs.
Rachel has also held positions at Modi-Print and CS Laboratory Technologies, LLC. At Modi-Print, they served as Entrepreneurial Lead from January 2017 to January 2019. In this role, they led over 100 customer discovery interviews and developed a business model for the company. Rachel also mentored a team of five UC Irvine engineers to redesign the printer based on customer specifications.
At CS Laboratory Technologies, LLC, Rachel served as Business Development Associate from January 2013 to August 2013. In this role, they were responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with potential customers.
In addition to their work in the corporate sector, Rachel has also served as a Recreational Gymnastics Coach at Bay Aerials Gymnastics from February 2007 to August 2009. In this role, they were responsible for coaching young athletes in the sport of gymnastics.
Rachel Hatano has a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California, Merced, and a Ph.D. in Biological Engineering and Small Scale Technologies from the same school. Her research focus is in cardiovascular tissue engineering.
They are on a team with Janice Lansita - Toxicology Lead, Matt Duncton - Medicinal Chemistry Lead, and Leah Makley - Chief Operating Officer. Their manager is Robin Mansukhani, CEO & Co-Founder.
