Hong Zhang

Hong (Xiang Hong) Zhang is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in analytical development and quality control. Since May 2019, Zhang has served as Associate Director of Analytical Development MS&T at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, managing the implementation of IPC and QC methods for various drug substances and products. Prior roles include Senior Manager in Quality Assurance at Akebia Therapeutics, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing drug substance manufacturing and quality investigations, as well as significant positions at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, managing both analytical operations and method development for peptide drugs. With foundational roles at Alkermes, Diatide, and Apotex, Zhang has developed a strong skill set in method development and validation using advanced analytical techniques. Academic qualifications include a BSc in Chemistry from Hebei Normal University and an MSc in Chemistry from Wuhan University.
