Margarida Duarte

Margarida Duarte is Senior Vice President, Head of International at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. Ms. Duarte joined Deciphera in 2021 and has over 15 years of experience in the global pharmaceutical industry and previous leadership roles in commercial, marketing, and strategy, along with experience leading cross functional teams in medical, regulatory, supply chain, and global product development. Prior to joining Deciphera, she served as Vice President, Head of Commercial Canada, Europe, and Middle East and Africa for Alnylam Pharmaceuticals where she led the company’s commercial growth and expansion in her regions, including the launch of Alnylam’s first products in rare genetic diseases. Before joining Alnylam, Ms. Duarte held multiple commercial and marketing leadership positions at STEPSTONE Pharma, Exelixis, Onyx Pharmaceuticals, and Amgen, with a focus in oncology and hematology. Ms. Duarte received a Master’s degree in Pharmacy from Universidade de Lisboa and an Executive Master’s degree in Marketing Management from Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE).
