Sutapa Mukhopadhyay

Sutapa Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with their most recent position as Senior Director of Pharmacovigilance Operations at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. In this role, they led global pharmacovigilance operations and built relationships with various functions to ensure proper management and oversight of activities.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Mukhopadhyay worked at Cognizant in various positions, including Client Relationship & Operations Director for Pharmacovigilance. Sutapa was responsible for overseeing case management teams, managing sponsor/vendor relationships, and leading high visibility projects on quality and compliance.

Sutapa also gained experience at sanofi-aventis as a Consultant in Medical Writing and at Punjabi University as a Professional Teacher. Sutapa started their career as a Post-doctoral fellow (Research Associate) at CSIR.

Sutapa Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D. earned a BS (honours) degree in Physiology from Calcutta University, Kolkata, from 1984 to 1987. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physiology with specialization in Microbiology & Immunology from Calcutta University, Kolkata, between 1987 and 1989. Lastly, they obtained a Ph.D. in Oncology and Cancer Biology from Jadavpur University, spanning from 1991 to 1995.
