Gert Strydom (CF.APMP)

Gert Strydom (CF.APMP) has extensive work experience in bid management and project management. Gert currently works at Decision Inc. as the Bid Office Manager & Project Manager, where they successfully set up and managed the Bid Office, ensuring the production of quality tender submissions. Gert also resolved problems, improved operations, and provided exceptional service within tight deadlines.

Prior to their current role, Gert worked as the Bid Office Manager and Sales Operations Lead at Altron Rest of Africa from 2019 to 2021. At MTN Business from 2016 to 2019, they served as a Bid Partner, demonstrating their expertise in bid management.

Their earlier experience includes roles such as Bid Manager at Bytes Managed Solutions (2013-2016), Bid Manager at IBM (2010-2013), and various roles at Ericsson. These roles included Price Manager Multimedia, Proposal Management, System Integration Pricing Manager, Solution Architect - Presales, and Product Manager. Gert was responsible for managing Value Added Services products, answering customer requirements, configuring product packages, writing solution descriptions, and more.

Before these roles, Gert worked at Cell C as a System Specialist Value Added Services and Technical Fault Management from 2002 to 2005.

Gert Strydom (CF.APMP) holds a Certified Foundation Level certification from APMP. In terms of formal education, they pursued a BCom degree in Informatics from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, completing the program between 1991 and 2001. Gert also obtained a Project Management certification in Fundamentals of Project Management from Damelin (Pty) Ltd in 2005. Gert completed their secondary education at Hartbeespoort High, graduating with a Matric degree in 1996. This program covered subjects such as Afrikaans, English, Mathematics, Science, Accounting, and Computer Science. Additionally, Gert has obtained the APMP Bid and Proposal Management Foundation certification in 2019 from APMP.
