Joanne Tanner

Joanne Tanner's work experience begins in 2004 when they joined Deloitte as an Articled Clerk in the Entrepreneurial Services division. Joanne completed their articles in 2006 and achieved their CA (SA) qualification. Joanne then worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte until 2007.

In 2007, Joanne joined Deloitte Canada as a Senior Auditor for a brief period of time before transitioning to Worldmark SA (Pty) Ltd t/a MotorOne, WesBank in the same year. At MotorOne, they held the position of Head of Finance and played a crucial role in restructuring the business and finance department. Joanne implemented robust internal controls and procedures and contributed to the company's growth strategy.

In 2009, Joanne joined Gemalto as a Financial Controller. Joanne gained valuable exposure to multinational businesses and acquisitions, overseeing the full finance function and interacting with various entities and corporate finance staff.

In 2010, Joanne joined Tarsus Technology Group where they served in various senior roles. In February 2019, they became the Group Board Financial Director, responsible for setting the board agenda and serving as a director on the subsidiary boards. Joanne managed a finance team, provided strategic support, and oversaw specific group functions, including finance, reporting, treasury, risk, compliance, audit, and taxation.

Joanne's most recent position, as of 2022, is the Group Chief Financial Officer at Decision Inc.

Joanne Tanner's education history begins in 1995 when they attended St Andrews School for Girls and completed their Matric in 1999. Moving forward, they studied at Stellenbosch University from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Additionally, they pursued further studies at Wits Business School in 2011, where they completed the Royal Bafokeng Holdings Executive Development Programme. Most recently, in 2017, Joanne attended the University of Cape Town for a Data Analytics Short Course.
