Luke Bruneaux has a diverse and extensive work experience in various data science and analytics roles. Luke is currently serving as the Director Data Science at Decision Point since October 2020. Prior to this, Luke held the position of Director, Data Quality & Analytics at Rhode Island Quality Institute from August 2018 to October 2020. Before that, they served as the Senior Manager, Data Quality & Analytics at RI Quality Institute from July 2017 to May 2018. Luke's earlier experience includes roles at athenahealth, where they worked as a Data Engineer Manager from February 2015 to June 2017 and as a Senior Data Science Engineering Associate from November 2013 to February 2015. In their role at athenahealth, Luke contributed significantly to reporting flu rates at the county level in association with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, ranking the performance of private insurers in public-facing Payerview, providing real-time visualization of health-information exchange, and resolving extraction and calculation discrepancies for investor relations reports.
Luke Bruneaux began their education in 1998 at the University of Pennsylvania, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics. Luke completed their undergraduate studies in 2002. In 2005, Luke attended the University of Chicago, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics in the year 2006. Following this, they enrolled at Harvard University and from 2008 to 2013, they pursued and successfully achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics and Systems Biology.
