Sergey V. Novitskiy is an accomplished researcher and academic with extensive experience in cancer biology and immunology. Currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor and Research Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since October 2016, Sergey leads NIH-funded research focused on the interactions of myeloid cells and fibroblasts in breast and pancreatic cancer development. As a Principal Scientist at Amgen since July 2021, Sergey works on single-cell spatial transcriptomics. Previous roles include Senior Scientist and Scientist at Amgen, concentrating on discovery research in immuno-oncology, as well as Project Liaison for Amgen Oncology TA since February 2023 at deCODE genetics. Sergey held a Research Assistant Professor position at Vanderbilt University from May 2009 to October 2016, researching TGF-beta's role in myeloid cell function during tumor progression, and completed multiple postdoctoral fellowships at Vanderbilt University, Moffitt Cancer Center, and with notable laboratories studying tumorigenesis, dendritic cells, and lipid metabolism.
