Founded in Espoo in 2021, DecorumLS is a Finnish company specialising in translation and language consulting. The company’s name, Decorum, comes from teachings in ancient rhetoric, and refers to a speaker’s ability to adopt the style required of the character he or she is presenting. This also applies to the translation sector, as one of the most important tasks of a linguist is to be able to distinguish between different styles: Am I translating a manual for a hybrid car, a medical research report or a compendium of poems?
