Marcela Parra Acevedo

Marcela Parra Acevedo has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles.

Starting with their most recent role, Marcela is currently working as the Controller Americas at Decowraps since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Finance & Accounting Regional Manager at CA Ventures from December 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining CA Ventures, Marcela was associated with Dell Technologies as part of the Fusion Project Dell-EMC from May 2021 to November 2021.

From September 2019 to April 2021, they worked as an independent advisor, holding the position of Financial and Administrative Manager / Country Controller.

Marcela has an extensive tenure at Teradata, where they served as the Financial and Administrative Manager / Country Controller from September 2007 to June 2019. During their time at Teradata, they were responsible for various financial and administrative tasks such as payroll, expense reporting, intercompany transactions, taxation, treasury, and more. Marcela also handled local support for human resources, real estate, and environmental health and safety divisions.

Prior to Teradata, Marcela worked as a Customer Delivery Partner at NCR Corporation from June 2004 to August 2007, and as an Especialista en Vuelos de Carga – Exportaciones Perecederos at DHL Global Forwarding from October 2003 to October 2004.

Marcela Parra Acevedo pursued their education in a chronological sequence. In 1994, they enrolled at Universidad Sergio Arboleda and completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 1999, specializing in Administration de Empresas. In 2000, they attended Universidad Sergio Arboleda again and obtained a diploma in Gerencia General. Later, in 2008, they embarked on further studies at Universidad de La Sabana and completed an Especialización en Finanzas y Negocios Internacionales, which lasted until 2009. Additionally, they participated in a Diplomado en Gerencia de Proyectos at Universidad de La Sabana in 2008.
