Abhay Sawant

Abhay Sawant has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Abhay is currently working as an Information Technology System Analyst at DeCurtis Corporation, where their responsibilities include overseeing the IPTV system, providing operational support for the Broadcast Center and Satellite TV System, maintaining the Cabin Automation with PLC system, and managing the VSAT system for ship to shore communications and data transfer.

Prior to their current role, Abhay worked as an IT Officer at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. from 2015 to 2021, where they assembled and configured network components, performed troubleshooting for in-stateroom equipment and IP telephones, and handled Lotus Notes installations and troubleshooting. Abhay also held the position of Information Technology Support Specialist at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. from 2015 to 2019.

Before joining Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Abhay worked at Indigo Consulting as a Sr Associate - Systems from 2008 to 2013. In this role, they were responsible for managing domain controllers, configuring DNS and DHCP servers, deploying antivirus software, installing and managing file servers, configuring IIS and Apache services, and setting up web applications. Abhay also handled hardware and software installations, maintained system inventory, and provided desktop level administration and support.

Abhay Sawant's education history begins in 1986 when they attended Paranjpe Vidyalaya and graduated with an SSC degree. Abhay then went on to Sathye College from 1996 to 1998, where they studied Banking and Financial Support Services and earned their HSC degree. In 1998, Abhay enrolled at Edit Institute and completed a Diploma in Web Multimedia, specializing in Web/Multimedia Management and Webmaster. From 2007 to 2008, they pursued a degree in Computer Hardware & Networking at CMS Institute and became a CCNP (CMS Certified Network Professional). In 2014, Abhay returned to CMS Institute and received a CMS Certified Cloud Architect certificate.

Aside from formal education, Abhay has also obtained several additional certifications. In 2014, they completed the "Administering Windows Server 2012" certification from Microsoft, as well as the "Server Virtualization with Windows Server Hyper-V and System Center Specialist" certification. In 2019, they obtained the "VMware vSphere Certified Professional on vSphere 6 Cert Prep (2V0-621): The Basics" certification from LinkedIn. In 2021, Abhay acquired numerous certifications focused on remote work and virtual collaboration through LinkedIn, including "Remote Work Foundations," "Time Management: Working from Home," and "Managing Virtual Teams," among others.
