Shawn Schulz

Shawn Schulz has extensive work experience in the automotive industry, primarily with Dee Zee, Inc. Shawn began their career at Dee Zee in 1993 as an R&D Design Engineer, where they were responsible for engineering and R&D of new products, prototype development, vehicle fitups, cost analysis, and drawings. Shawn later became the R&D Manager, overseeing the department from 2003 to 2006. In 2006, Shawn transitioned to the role of Senior OEM Account Manager/Program Manager, where they managed account relationships for OEM automotive accessory programs. This included commercial business agreements, bidding new programs, APQP product development processes, timeline creation, and new program/product launch coordination. In 2021, they were promoted to Team Lead/Senior OEM Sales Account Manager and then to OEM Sales Director in 2022. Currently, Shawn holds the position of Director of OEM Sales and Research & Development at Dee Zee, Inc.

Shawn Schulz obtained an Associate's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hawkeye Community College, from 1991 to 1993. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Solidworks 3D Cad from the SolidWorks Authorised Training Center in April 2006, and in Advanced Product Quality Planning from Applied Quality Systems in September 1997. Shawn also has a certification in APQP, although the institution and specific details of this certification are unknown.
