DeAnn Fairfield currently serves as General Counsel at Deel, overseeing global legal strategy and compliance across 100+ countries. Prior to this role, DeAnn took a career break from January 2022 to January 2024, during which advisory work was conducted on nonprofit and startup projects focusing on youth development, education, and social entrepreneurship. Previous experience includes serving as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Altaba Inc., where securities and corporate legal functions were led post-sale to Verizon, and as Senior Vice President and Sr Deputy General Counsel at Broadcom Corporation, managing a team responsible for corporate and regulatory legal matters. DeAnn also held the position of Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel at Safeco, providing legal and regulatory guidance for a Fortune 500 insurance company. DeAnn holds a JD from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Princeton University.
