Kaiwen Song

Kaiwen Song is a backend engineer at Deel, and previously worked as a senior software engineer at Bloomberg LP. Kaiwen has also interned as a software engineer at FundApps and worked as an undergraduate research assistant at Imperial College London.

Kaiwen graduated from Imperial College London with a degree in computer science. During their time at Imperial College London, Kaiwen worked on a variety of projects, including re-architecting IB and MSG distribution systems, re-designing and implementing user presence systems with C++, Python, and Kafka, and adding new features to the IB application. Kaiwen also worked on reworking IB integration with other Terminal functions.

Kaiwen is skilled in both C++ and Python and has experience with technologies such as Kafka, Protobuf, Docker, and Cmake.

Kaiwen Song graduated from King Edward VI Grammar School, Chelmsford with a focus in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and economics. Kaiwen then went on to obtain their Master’s Degree in Computing from Imperial College London.

Kaiwen Song reports to Yaron Lavi, CTO. Some of their coworkers include Gilad Novik - Director of Engineering, Nikolay Rudenko - Backend Lead, and Julia Kesler - QA Lead.
