Blake Vanberlo

Blake VanBerlo has a diverse work experience that includes roles as a Director of Machine Learning at Deep Breathe, Owner of VanBerlo Consulting, and Sessional Instructor at the University of Waterloo. They have also worked as a Machine Learning Developer Intern at Unity Technologies, a Summer Research Assistant at Robarts Research Institute, a Software Developer Co-op at RhinoActive Inc., and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Engineering. In addition, they have held positions as a Software Engineer Co-op at Diebold Nixdorf, a Guest Services employee at FireRock Golf Club, and a Student Trustee at the London District Catholic School Board.

Blake VanBerlo completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at Western University from 2013 to 2017. They then obtained additional certifications in Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning from Coursera in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Currently, Blake is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
