David Ciudad Rodriguez

David Ciudad Rodriguez has a diverse work experience. David is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Deep Detection, where they lead the commercialization of inspection technology for manufacturing lines. Prior to this, they worked as a Professor at OBS Business School from 2015 to 2019, teaching Business Plan and Financing, Business Development, and Innovation Management.

From 2015 to 2018, David also served as the Director of Operations at Maystar Group, a luxury cosmetics brand. David was responsible for overseeing operations and managing the company's international exports.

Before that, David was the Chief Executive Officer of Populetic, a flight claims platform, from 2013 to 2015. David led the company's strategy, technological development, team management, and finances. In the same period, they were also the R&D Manager and co-founder of Infinitum Projects, an incubator aimed at generating technology-based startups.

David took a break from their professional career in 2011 to travel around Asia, Oceania, and South America, exploring different cultures and learning about global issues.

Earlier in their career, David served as the CEO and General Manager of SIMPPLE, a consultancy and R+D+I company, from 2003 to 2011. David managed various R&D projects and built a team of 36 highly qualified engineers, PhDs, and scientists. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Project Manager at SIMPPLE from 2003 to 2004.

David's career started in 2006 as the Chief Executive Officer of Woices, a global audio comment sharing service. David was responsible for the company's strategy, marketing, finances, and business development.

David Ciudad Rodriguez's education history begins in 1997 when they enrolled at Universitat Rovira i Virgili and pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. David completed their degree in 2002. In 2003, David pursued a postgraduate degree in Environmental Management at Universitat de Barcelona, which they completed in 2004.

In the same year, David attended EAE Business School and obtained an International MBA degree with a focus on Management. Additionally, in 2006, they briefly studied European Project Management at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

David furthered their education in the field of coaching by attending EFIC - Escuela de Formación Integral en Coaching. In 2015, they completed the International Expert Course in Personal and Executive Coaching with an excellent level in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching. In 2016-2017, David pursued the Top Intensive Training (TIT) Team Coaching program from the same institution, focusing on team coaching.

In terms of additional certifications, David obtained the First Certificate in English (FCE) from Cambridge University in 2003. In 2013, they completed the "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship" course from Coursera. In 2019, David obtained certifications in "New Technologies for Business Leaders" from Coursera, "Building High-Performance Teams" from MASPM Registered Education Provider PMI® Project Management Institute, and "La Disrupción del Blockchain" from Coursera.
