Mark Hammond

Mark Hammond has worked for a variety of companies since 2005. From 2005-2007, they were an IT Engineer & Business Developer for SEO Computers. Mark then worked as a PhD (PDRA role) at the University of Reading from 2007-2010, where they connected biological neuronal networks to a real and virtual robot to understand how neuronal activity drives behaviour. From 2010-2011 they were an Analyst for London Bridge Capital Ltd. From 2011-2015 they were the Create Lab Director and Co.Create Manager for Imperial Innovations, where they co-founded a new business unit to apply the accelerator model to academic-led ventures. From 2015-2016 they were a Non Executive Director at Eva Diagnostics. Finally, from 2016-present they have been a Director at Deep Science Ventures.

Mark Hammond completed their PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Reading between 2007 and 2011. Prior to this, they earned an M Neuro & AI in Neuroscience & Artificial Intelligence from The University of Manchester between 2001 and 2005. In 2000, they completed a summer course in Small business managment at Truro Business School, obtaining an NVQ NVQ Owner Business Managment certification.
