Brian Traficante has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Brian started their career as an artist at Operand, creating 2D and 3D graphics for custom software activities. Brian then moved on to Lodestone Games as an environment artist.
Brian joined Mythic Entertainment as a Lead Environment Artist, where they collaborated with Art Directors to develop a new visual style and oversaw content construction. Brian continued their role as a Lead Environment Artist at EA Mythic, implementing new mapping processes and maintaining quality targets.
Brian joined Volition as a Lead Environment Artist, where they developed project defining environment benchmarks and implemented outsource pipelines. Brian then became an Associate Art Director, drawing inspiration from historically accurate visuals to shape the primary environment art direction.
Brian joined THQ Montreal as an Art Director, where they developed the visual pillars and key art concepts for a fantastical, surreal world. Brian joined Ubisoft Montréal as an Art Director, creating ref boards, mood boards, and concept art to exemplify the artistic direction of a game mode.
Brian returned to Volition as a Lead/Principal Artist, managing the crafting of a stylized sci-fi city and guiding a world team. Brian later became a Creative Director, leading the creative direction for a project involving 240 individuals and crafting a captivating vision for a vast open-world game.
Currently, Brian is the Chief Creative Officer at Shapeshifter Games, working closely with staff, partners, and other studio leadership to assist great teams with big dreams.
Throughout their career, Brian has consistently demonstrated their expertise in creative development, art direction, and team leadership.
