Craig Basham

Craig Basham is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of executive leadership in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Defense (DoD). Currently serving as Principal at Deep Water Point & Associates and as a consultant with Basham Federal Advisory LLC, Craig has founded a practice focused on providing advisory services in IT modernization, cybersecurity, and federal acquisition strategy. Previous roles include Deputy Executive Director of IT Operations at DHS, where Craig managed significant budgets and oversaw IT initiatives across multiple divisions, and Director of the Wireless Systems Program Division at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, responsible for modernizing communication infrastructure. Craig's educational background includes a Senior Executive Fellowship from Harvard Kennedy School, a Key Senior Program Manager degree from American University, and additional credentials in information technology and management from National Defense University and University of Maryland Global Campus.
