Jeff Burrus

Jeff Burrus is currently the Senior Vice President of Wholesale at Deephaven Mortgage. Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with a focus on business development, service delivery, and team management.

Jeff started their career in the mortgage industry in 2011 as a Senior Consultant at Vitex, Inc. Jeff then moved to Indecomm Global Services in 2012, where they served as Vice President of Operations for the Lending Solutions Group. In 2013, they joined Accenture as a Client Service Delivery Lead for Business Development. Jeff was responsible for managing the Application Outsourcing contract, including service management, client management, and team management. Jeff also wrote policies, procedures, workflows, and systems requirements for MCaaS (Mortgage Compliance as a Service).

In 2018, Jeff left Accenture to join Deephaven Mortgage as Senior Vice President of Wholesale. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of Deephaven’s wholesale business, including sales, product development, and operations. Under their leadership, Deephaven has become one of the leading wholesale lenders in the United States.

Jeff Burrus graduated from Proschools, a training school for mortgage professionals, in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Jeff then attended Elon University, where they majored in business administration.

Jeff Burrus reports to John Keratsis, President & CEO. They work with Shelly Griffin - SVP, Client Development, Dank Pinckney - General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, and Steve Lemon - SVP, National Head of Wholesale Sales.
